King, NC – Forsyth Technical Community College Athletics is proud to host the first annual Trailblazer Trek charity Bike Ride on Sunday, April 11, 2027, at the Northwest Campus in King, North Carolina.  This community-focused event brings cyclists of all experience levels together to support student-athletes while enjoying some of the region’s most scenic routes. 

The event is made possible through the generous support of the Winston-Salem Police Department, serving as the official event sponsor, along with additional community partners including Davenport, Modern Toyota, Novant Health, Fiddlin’ Fish Brewing Company, and Mast General Store. 

Participants can choose from three thoughtfully designed routes:  

• Trailblazer Challenge: A challenging approximate 60 mile ride through the rolling roads of Forsyth & Stokes Counties.  Riders will reach the midway point at Hanging Rock State Park, where they can choose to tackle the park’s signature climb or bypass it and conserve energy for the return trip. 

• Trailblazer Tour:  This approximate 36 mile route is ideal for cyclists seeking a solid challenge with less elevation change, this route follows scenic and gently rolling roads throughout Forsyth County. 

• Trailblazer Fun Loop – The Loop is approximately 8 miles perfect for beginners or those looking for a more relaxed ride.  This route features mostly flat terrain with minimal elevation changes, making it a fun and accessible option for all. 

All registered participants will enjoy a complimentary lunch following the ride, providing an opportunity to connect, celebrate, and support a great cause. 

Proceeds from the Trailblazer Trek directly benefit Forsyth Tech Athletics, helping provide resources and opportunities for student-athletes to succeed both academically and competitively.
