Pavlo Markiv, Men's Basketball

Forsyth Tech Men’s Basketball has added a significant piece to its frontcourt puzzle with the signing of Pavlo Markiv, a standout 6'8" forward from Asheville Christian Academy.

Markiv comes to the Trailblazers with a reputation for versatile interior play and a high basketball IQ. During his tenure at Asheville Christian, he established himself as a reliable rim protector and an efficient scorer in the paint, while also demonstrating the ability to stretch the floor—a combination that fits perfectly into the Trailblazers' offensive system. Beyond the stat sheet, Markiv is known for a "blue-collar" approach to the game. His physicality on the glass and willingness to do the dirty work defensively are expected to make an immediate impact on the roster. Pavlo played high school basketball at Asheville Christian with another Trialblazer signee, Brendan Bailey.
