Forsyth Tech Basketball Set for Home Opener Against Central Carolina
The wait is over! The Forsyth Tech Trailblazers men's basketball team will officially tip off its home season this Saturday, November 1st, at 3:00 PM. The Trailblazers welcome the Cougars of Central Carolina Community College to campus for what promises to be an exciting start to the new season.
This year's squad is notable for its fresh energy and deep local roots. The 15-player roster is young and eager, featuring 13 freshmen and 2 sophomores. Highlighting the program's commitment to community talent, 11 of the 15 players hail from right here in the Triad, having played their high school careers in the local area.
Head Coach Lucas Hunter shared his enthusiasm for the new season and the hard work his team has put in. "Our players are really excited to start this season," Coach Hunter said. "They have been working hard the last few months and doing a great job of buying into our vision for the program."
Hunter also noted the significance of this moment for the college, which is in its first year of athletic competition. "There are so many people on our campus to thank who have been instrumental in bringing athletics to Forsyth Tech," Hunter added. "We are excited to get this season going."
