Forsyth Tech Dominates Guilford Tech 91-69 Behind Wilson’s Double-Double

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Forsyth Tech (13-1, 8-1 NJCAA Region 10) showcased complete dominance on both ends of the floor, rolling past Guilford Technical Community College 91-69 on Tuesday night at West Campus.
From the opening tip, Forsyth Tech established control with relentless energy. The Trailblazers' offense clicked early, erupting for 47 first-half points to build a double-digit lead. The team's precision passing and unselfish play resulted in 30 assists on 39 made field goals, setting the tone for an offensive showcase.
Guilford Tech attempted to close the gap after halftime, but Forsyth Tech's defensive intensity never waned. The Trailblazers forced 10 steals and recorded 7 blocks, repeatedly disrupting the Titans' rhythm and converting turnovers into transition baskets. The hosts outscored Guilford by 11 in the second half, sealing the outcome with a balanced and efficient attack.
Kyri Wilson spearheaded the effort with a dominant double-double, tallying 19 points, 11 assists, 6 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocks while going a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line. Wilson's all-around play fueled both the offense and defense, setting the pace for the Trailblazers throughout the game.
Darnerian Gibson poured in 15 points on 6-for-12 shooting, connecting on three three-pointers and contributing 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Off the bench, Ian Bush delivered a defensive spark with 5 steals, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 9 points. Cameron Layaou added 8 points and 3 rebounds, shooting 4-for-5 from the field.
As a team, Forsyth Tech shot 60 percent from the floor, demonstrating both offensive execution and the ability to convert defensive stops into points. The victory reaffirms the Trailblazers' status as contenders in NJCAA Region 10, with depth and balance on full display.
