WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Forsyth Tech (13-3) suffered a tough 81-75 loss to Wake Technical Community College on Saturday afternoon at West Campus. The Trailblazers led by three at the break but could not hold off a second-half surge from the Eagles.
Forsyth Tech started strong, building momentum behind an active defense and crashing the offensive glass. A steady team effort gave the Trailblazers a 39-36 advantage at halftime as they looked to set the tone with their first game of 2026.
The game shifted after the break, with Wake Tech outscoring Forsyth Tech 45-36 in the second half. Foul trouble began to mount, forcing key rotation changes as both Ian Bush and Kevonta Martin fouled out. Jayden Ross led the charge with 19 points on seven-for-15 shooting, grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out 8 assists, coming up just shy of a triple-double from the guard spot. Off the bench, Kevonta Martin added 10 points on five-for-six shooting and pulled down 5 rebounds before fouling out. Forsyth Tech finished with 39 rebounds, including 18 on the offensive glass, and had four players in double figures, highlighting a balanced attack.
The Trailblazers showed resilience and effort throughout, battling through adversity and foul trouble, but ultimately fell short in a closely contested home game.
