Trailblazers to Host Inaugural Play4Kay "Pink Out" Game

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Forsyth Tech Athletics is proud to announce that the Men's Basketball team will host its first-ever Play4Kay Pink Out fundraiser game on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. The Trailblazers will take on conference rival Davidson-Davie Community College at 7:00 PM in a night dedicated to much more than just basketball.

This special event is part of a nationwide initiative to raise awareness and funds for cancer research, honoring the strength, courage, and resilience of those impacted by the disease.

Honoring Our Survivors

The heart of the evening will be a special halftime recognition ceremony. If you are a cancer survivor, thriver, or warrior, the Forsyth Tech family would be honored to recognize you on the court. Your story matters to us, and we want to celebrate your journey.

About Play4Kay and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund

The Play4Kay initiative was inspired by the late Kay Yow, a legendary women's basketball coach at NC State. Coach Yow was a pioneer on the court and a hero off it, fighting her own battle with breast cancer with grace and transparency.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund was founded to unite the basketball community in the fight against all cancers affecting women. Since its inception, the fund has served as a catalyst, raising millions of dollars for life-saving research and providing underserved women access to quality healthcare. By hosting this game, Forsyth Tech joins a global community of athletes and fans dedicated to finding a cure.

How You Can Help

We encourage all fans to wear PINK to the game to show their support! There are two primary ways to contribute to the cause:

  1. Donate Directly: Visit the Forsyth Tech Play4Kay fundraiser page to make a donation. Every dollar helps move us closer to a cure.

  2. Gear Up: Purchase official Play4Kay apparel directly from the Kay Yow Cancer Fund shop.
