WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – NJCAA Region 10 has officially announced its 2025-26 men's basketball postseason awards, with Forsyth Tech Community College earning significant recognition across several major categories. Highlighted by individual superlatives and multiple All-Region selections, the awards cap off a successful campaign for the Trailblazers who won the Region 10 regular season. These awards are voted on by the head coaches within Region 10 at the end of the season.
Freshman guard Darnerian Gibson headlined the regional honors, becoming one of the most decorated players in the conference this season. Gibson was selected as the Region 10 Offensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, while also earning a spot on the All-Region 10 First Team.
Gibson's impact on the floor was instrumental to the Trailblazers' offensive efficiency, consistently leading the team in scoring and establishing himself as a premier talent within the region.
Two additional Forsyth Tech student-athletes received All-Region recognition for their contributions to the team's success:
-
Kyri Wilson (Third Team All-Region): Wilson garnered third-team honors following a season in which he distinguished himself as the region's top facilitator. He finished the year leading all of Region 10 in total assists.
-
Cal Barrett (Third Team All-Region): Barrett was also named to the All-Region Third Team. His consistent performance and veteran presence were key components of the Trailblazers' rotation throughout the conference schedule.
