Weavil Introduced as Women's Volleyball Head Coach
Sarah Weavil was named the women's volleyball head coach on August 20th, 2024.
"I could not be more excited about coming into a brand new program here at Forsyth Tech," said Weavil. "To see the excitement building in and around campus about athletics gets me even more excited knowing that the culture we are trying to build is already here."
Sarah Weavil comes to Forsyth Tech with over ten years of coaching experience at the middle school, high school, and club level. Weavil's most recent coaching experience comes from Triangle Volleyball club in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she spent the last two years coaching the U17 team. Weavil grew up in Davidson County where she graduated from Ledford High School and then continued to play at the collegiate level at William Peace University and Davidson County Community College as a setter. Weavil graduated with her Associate of Arts at Davidson County Community College. She finished her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Heath Communications. Weavil serves as the Education Engagement Director for the American Heart Association, where she promotes health and wellness initiatives that align with her commitment to shaping well-rounded student-athletes.
