Trailblazers Achieve Strong Start in Inaugural Volleyball Season
Winston-Salem, NC – The Forsyth Tech Trailblazers volleyball program has an 11-5 overall record at this point in their inaugural season. The West Campus gym has quickly proven to be a tough place for opponents to play, with the Trailblazers holding a 5-2 home record. The young program has shown continuous growth throughout the season and looks to continue that upward trajectory into October. The Trailblazers have held up well against the best teams in Region 10, and there is much to be excited about for the future of Trailblazer volleyball.
Head Coach Sarah Weavil had this to say, "I have been really encouraged about how our team has grown over these last few games. I am excited about how the team continues to grow closer together and learn through both wins and losses. I think our mindset has consistently been improving, and I am looking forward to how we finish in October." While staying present, Weavil is also thinking about the long-term trajectory of the program, "I think the best thing right now is knowing that this is our first year, and although we have fallen short in some match-ups against top teams, each set we have gotten better and better. It makes me more excited for the future and where our mindsets will be then."
