Sarah Weavil

Bio

Sarah Weavil was named the head women's volleyball coach at Forsyth Tech on August 20, 2024, tasked with launching the college's brand-new volleyball program.

"I could not be more excited about coming into a brand new program here at Forsyth Tech," Weavil said upon her hiring. "To see the excitement building in and around campus about athletics gets me even more excited knowing that the culture we are trying to build is already here."

Coach Weavil wasted no time turning that excitement into execution. In the program's 2025 season, she led the Trailblazers to an impressive 15-8 record, setting a high standard for Forsyth Tech volleyball right out of the gate. Just as dedicated to success off the court, Weavil’s emphasis on academic excellence resulted in 11 players being named to the Fall Region 10 Academic Team and the program earning distinction as an NJCAA All-Academic Team.

Weavil came to Forsyth Tech with over a decade of coaching experience spanning the middle school, high school, and club levels. Most recently, she spent two years coaching the U17 team at the prestigious Triangle Volleyball Club in Raleigh, North Carolina.

A native of Davidson County, Weavil graduated from Ledford High School before competing at the collegiate level as a setter for both William Peace University and Davidson County Community College (DCCC). She earned her Associate of Arts from DCCC and went on to complete her Bachelor of Arts in Health Communications at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
